Guide
Budget with mobile money, not around it
If a large share of your month lives in a wallet app, a Western budget tool that only understands a bank feed will miss the picture. Treat MoMo, M-Pesa, and similar balances as first-class accounts, then budget against the same net worth number.
Wallets are accounts, not footnotes
African money reality is mobile money beside banks, cash, and sometimes a foreign salary. Iron Wealth lets you add those wallets without an operator login or an open-banking feed that does not exist for your telco.
Pace beats a leftover number
A monthly limit without pace is how people overspend on day twelve. Category budgets sit next to net worth so airtime, food, and a send-home are connected to what you own.
Ghana-deep, continent-useful
Ghana-shaped product depth (including GSE-aware investing in-app) comes first. The same wallet-plus-bank model is useful in Kenya, Nigeria, and the diaspora. See the Ghana and Africa pages for the regional story.
Questions
- Does Iron Wealth connect to MTN MoMo or M-Pesa?
- No scrape and no operator login. You add the wallet and update the balance. That is the privacy model.
- Can I budget in GHS or KES?
- Yes. Accounts keep their currency. Dual display helps if you also hold USD or GBP.
- Is mobile-money budgeting free?
- Budgets are part of the free core. Free includes 3 accounts; Pro unlocks unlimited accounts.
