What to include

Include brokerage balances, funds, crypto, and property you would count as wealth. Use the value you would actually stand behind, not a hopeful target. If you would never sell the home, you can still log the property and the mortgage separately so the number stays honest. Cash in a brokerage settlement fund is still an asset. A list of tickers you might buy is not.

How investments roll into net worth

Net worth is assets minus liabilities. An investment account adds. A loan against it subtracts. Iron Wealth keeps each account in its real currency, then shows one headline in the display currency you choose. You log the balance. The history chart shows whether the whole picture is compounding or sliding, not a trade blotter.
